Regular visits to the dentist are vital but often overlooked. BRS Global School, Bidaraguppe was fortunate to have a team of doctors from the renowned Narayana Hrudayalaya, to conduct a dental check-up, from Montessori-1 to Grade-VIII including the staff, drivers and helping staff. We are grateful to Dr. Deba-senior registrar, Dr. Saranya- senior medical officer, Dr. Prashanth – senior registrar, Dr. Suraj – dental registrar, assistant Mahalakshmi and Camp in charge Devaraj, for coming to BRS School inspite of their busy schedule.

Good oral health care, daily brushing, keep bacteria under control. Without proper oral hygiene bacteria might lead to oral infections, such as tooth decay and gum disease. Taking good care of teeth will improve a child’s overall health. This will mean fewer sick days and time off from school, dealing with discomfort from cavities, and more days doing what they do best: being a kid untreated cavities can cause pain and infection, that may lead to problems with eating, speaking, playing and leaning. The good news is that cavities are preventable. Regular dental check-ups help to spot oral health problems early, when they are easier to treat. They also educate people on the best way to take care of their teeth and gums.

The lessons learnt by dentists visiting the school, have positive effects not only for the present but for the future too. Students were given dental care card, where the proper suggestions and advised were mentioned to get treated of their problems.

A dentist is a person who brings healthy smiles on your face with his dentistry. He brings back this lovely million-dollar smiles. A smile takes a moment but the memories last forever. Smiles are contagious so go forth and contaminate as many people as you can! A big thank you to all dentists!
