Happy Raksha Bandhan!

Raksha Bandhan is an age-old festival which celebrates the bond of a brother and sister. It is one of the most important festivals in India celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm. Sisters and brothers wait eagerly for it. No matter where they are sisters and brothers get united on this beautiful day. Sisters tie rakhi on the wrists of their brothers and wish them a long and prosperous life. The rakhi symbolizes love and adoration. In between, brothers offer gifts and promise to protect their sisters at all costs.

Raksha Bandhan was celebrated on 12th August 2022 in BRS School, Bidaraguppe. The sisters tied rakhi on their brother’s wrist. Then both brothers and sisters gave chocolates to each other. Photos were taken all together. These were the siblings who participated in this auspicious celebration:

The celebration taught children the value of tradition. The festival is not restricted to blood related relations. The whole family comes together to witness the special moments with sweets and delicacies. Rakhi can be tied to anyone who at any point has provided some kind of protection of care. Many women visit temples and tie threads to the idol of Lord Krishna, and pray for the Lord to protect them.

Raksha Bandhan fills brothers with a feeling of pride and sisters with an incredible feeling of security.
