Happy Ganesh Chaturthi!
Ganesh Chaturthi marks the birth anniversary of Lord Ganesha, who is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Also known as elephant god. Lord Ganesha is the god of wealth, sciences, knowledge, wisdom and prosperity. All the new beginnings start with the worship of Lord Ganesha, as he is known as a remover of obstacles. Ganesh Chaturthi is one of the most sacred festivals celebrated across the country. Also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi it lasts for 10 days. After the celebrations Ganesh idols are submerged in water.
The main essence of Ganesh Chaturthi is that devotees who pray to him, are set free of sins, and it leads them on the path of knowledge and wisdom. The festival is celebrated not only at home but also in schools and colleges. BRS Global School, Bidaraguppe celebrated the festival with devotion.
Students from the Montessori section to grade 8 attended the pooja. A nicely decorated Ganesha idol was kept inside the school premises. There was Rangoli designed with both colour and flowers in front of the idol of Ganesha. Aarti was performed by students of grade 8 in a spirit of humility. The pooja concluded with distribution of prasadam. Not only is it holy, but prasadam is also a sign of sharing with one and all. Students and teachers came in ethnic wear, which enhanced the festive atmosphere.
May Lord Ganesha shower on you blooms of adoration and harmony. May the heavenly elegance accompany you today and consistently!
