“Focus on the journey, not the destination, Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it.”

May the light of the diyas guide you on the way to happiness and success! Happy Diwali!
Activities are of utmost importance in a student’s life. Activities for children make them advance towards a new learning experience beyond the limits of the classroom. Their enthusiasm is accelerated, and overall growth of a child is facilitated. Creativity helps a child to develop socially and emotionally. When children experiment with materials, their creativity is boosted. Art helps boost self-confidence. When children explore their talents through activity, they succeed academically too. Succeeding in an activity is very encouraging and rewarding.
Diwali presents a hoard of creative opportunities for children. There is something for everyone to do. BRS school Bidaraguppe took this festive period as an opportunity for children to relax and have fun. 21st October 2022 was Activity Day for students from Grade I to Grade VIII. The activity for Grade I to Grade III was making diyas using clay. Grade IV to Grade VII had the activity of making Greeting Cards. The venue for the activities was the Indoor Stadium. There were three prizes for each grade. The Montessori teachers were the judges.
Diyas are a significant part of Diwali celebration. The people of Ayodhya had lit lights in honour of Lord Ram after his victory over the demon king Ravan. Lighting diyas denotes dispelling darkness and going into light. The warm, bright glow emitted from a diya is considered auspicious. It represents enlightenment, prosperity, knowledge, and wisdom. Children appropriately made beautiful diyas using clay and decorated them using their creativity.
A greeting card expresses joy, love and admiration for the people who have touched out lives. Students made beautiful cards which were thought-provoking and meaningful.
The day was a fruitful one where creativity knew no bounds. Time was managed effectively and most importantly students were committed to the activity they were entrusted with. May the celebrations of Diwali fill the upcoming year with new hopes and opportunities.
