A Parent-Teacher Meeting is an important activity of any school. It is a great opportunity for both the teachers and parents to work for the betterment of the child. It is held for valuation of an academic and non-academic performance of the student. Face to face communication of Parents and Teachers plays a vital role in their child’s learning process. If parents are also involved in the activity of the school, students can do better in both academic and non-academic performance. BRS Global School, Bidaraguppe, had a PTM on 3rd December 2022. The PTM was for Periodic Assessment III for Montessori I to Grade 8. Parents were welcomed cordially by the teachers. Areas of weakness and strengths were discussed and measures to help were focused on. The meeting helped to build a bridge between the two important facets of a student’s life – parent and teacher. Students spend a lot of time in school. Teachers gave an insight of a child’s behaviour in school and parents spoke about behaviour at home. Group interaction was also discussed. Each child is different and how they interact is also different and unique.

Most importantly, parents got to see the environment their child was growing up in and the people nurturing their child. The teachers approached parents with positive assumptions which showed that they cared for their students. The parents appreciated the teachers’ methods of teaching and catering to individual needs.

Parents gave their consent for a trip. Montessori children are visiting Bannerghatta National Park and Zoo. Grades -1 to 5 are going to ‘Janapadaloka’.

The PTM proved that Parents and Teachers worked together in harmony. Both had the same goal – to make the child’s life better, and to mould it to face the future with confidence.
