and Grade 09 students, designed to support families during the critical transition into the secondary and
board-oriented academic phase.
The session served as a practical refresher on emotional readiness, behavioural awareness, and structured parental support strategies.

The programme enabled parents to:
- Understand the concept and importance of mental health monitoring during adolescence
• Recognise behavioural indicators during the Grade 08 → Grade 09 transition
• Learn structured engagement methods to support children academically and emotionally
• Explore real-life scenarios and response strategies for stress, anxiety, and exam pressure.

The session was hosted by Riyasha, a specialised Mental Health & Wellness Coach known for her work with
parents of secondary school learners.
Her interactive presentation focused on:
- Practical techniques for emotionally supporting children during board preparation
• Managing screen time and converting digital usage into productive learning
• Building healthy communication routines between parents and adolescents
• Identifying early signs of academic stress and responding constructively
• Creating a balanced home environment that promotes confidence and resilience.
Parents actively participated in discussions, scenario-based reflections, and guided strategies, making the
session highly engaging and application-oriented.
