Parent School Partnership
The goal of this session was to bridge the gap between parents and the school and foster a collaborative relationship to support the child’s holistic development. Parents learned how to reinforce classroom learning at home, support emotional growth through open conversations, partner with teachers on behavioural concerns, and celebrate achievements in participation and social skills.
The activities included session on Home-School Connect for Emotional Growth, creating structured volunteering opportunities in events like field trips, school clubs, professional workshops, and showcases in music, sports, and career talks, as well as Orientation Sessions – Fostering Life Skills in the Digital Age to guide children in essential skills and responsible digital habits.
Participant feedback
Parents expressed appreciation for the sessions and were happy to know that the school had started counselling programs for students. They noted that the activities provided valuable insights into their child’s emotional, social, and digital development. The sessions helped them understand practical ways to support learning and behaviour at home, encouraged active participation in school events, and promoted responsible online habits. Overall, the programs strengthened parent-school collaboration and empowered parents to contribute positively to their child’s holistic growth.
Outcomes achieved

Challenges encountered
Some parents were unsure how to support children at home, and raised queries about screen time, homework stress, or emotional guidance. The counselor addressed these with clear explanations, relatable examples, and small-group discussions, helping parents feel confident and able to apply the strategies effectively
