Kanakdasa Jayanthi was celebrated in the school camps by the admin staff lighting the divine lamp & paying floral tributes to the great poet, saint, philosopher, composer & musician who was born in 1509 and is still remembered for his Kirtans & Carnatic music compositions in Kannada,
As a devotee, revolutionary & social reformer the achievement of Kanakadasa is great. He has authored four poetic works and hundreds of hymns. The message given by him in his works is that mankind is not the source of selfishness but the by humanitarian qualities that lies beyond rituals.
