                                                                                                                                           Happy Kannada Rajyotsava!

Karnataka Rajyotsava is Karnataka’s state formation day. It is celebrated on November 1st. This was the day in 1956, when all the Kannada language speaking regions of South India were merged to form the state of Karnataka Rajyotsava day. Rajyotsava day is listed as a government holiday in the state of Karnataka, and is celebrated by Kannadigas across the world.

Rajyotsava means birth of a state. It is celebrated with great pomp. On this day people of Karnataka wear their traditional clothes, and also hoist their state flag, which is red and yellow. People also sing the Kannada Anthem “Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate”. On this day we remember the great rulers and leaders who are part of the history of this great state.

BRS School Bidaraguppe celebrated this day with fervour on 4th November 2022. The principal madam Mrs. Shailaja V.K hoisted the state flag. This was followed by Karnataka Naada Geethe “Jai Bharat Jananiya Tanujate” sung by students of Grade 4, 5 and 6.

After this all assembled in the auditorium. The programme started with a welcome speech by Sujata madam. Then there was a welcome song – “Hacchevu Kannadada Deepa” sung melodiously by the teachers. A speech by a student and a rhythmic dance by students from Grade 2 to Grade 7 followed by. The Chairman Sir Rajasekhar Reddy and the Principal gave inspiring speeches.

The programme ended with “Sankalpa Vidhi”, the rite of resolution. It means commitment for the accomplishment of a task. Finally, there was a vote of thanks by Vidya C Reddy.
