FIELD TRIP TO JAWAHARLAL PLANETARIUM, BENGALURU– GRADE 6,7,8,9 & 10
Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium offers immersive sky theatre shows (like “The Solar System”), science park exploration with models, and exhibitions on space, ideal for students to learn about astronomy, constellations, and India’s space achievements (Chandrayaan-3, Gaganyaan) through engaging visuals and hands-on activities, with visits typically lasting 2-3 hours.
Key Experiences for Field Trips
- Sky Theatre Shows:Immersive, dome-based shows (around 40 mins) covering topics like our universe, solar system, constellations, and space missions, providing a visual journey through space.
- Exhibition Hall:Displays detailed posters and models related to astronomy, solar system, and ISRO’s achievements, including Chandrayaan-3.
- Science Park:Features working science models, from simple sundials to rocket designs, offering interactive learning.
- It was an exciting, informative field trip for our Grae 6,7,8,9 & 10 students to foster scientific temper and inquisitiveness.
