Happy Talent Day!
Talent Day is a day of fun and gives students an opportunity to showcase their special skills. It allows students to exhibit their special interest in dancing, singing, acting or some other area. It is a day to accept and celebrate individual talents Beauty lies in being different. We’re not all made to fit into one box. Talent Day is a day to accept these differences and to love what each individual has to offer. The main aim of conducting Talent Day is to identify and nurture the talents from a young age, to boost self-confidence. Self-confidence in the skills of students is translated into studies to gain parallel academic excellence. BRS Global School, Bidaraguppe conducted Talent Day for Grade 1 to 8 on 17th February 2023. It was conducted in the auditorium.
It was an extravaganza of creativity and cultural talent. BRS fosters a passion for exploration of uniqueness of each student which will last for a lifetime. Special efforts were made to enhance the talent of students with a natural flair for music, dance, singing, drama, oratorical skills etc. Participation to bring out their hidden talents was encouraged by prizes 1,2 and 3 in each category, class wise. The activities for Grade – 1 were dance, singing, mono acting, storytelling and playing the keyboard. Grade-2 had dance, singing, kung fu, karate and recalling country names. Grade-3 had dance, singing, playing an instrument, reverse table, sloka, proverb, experiment, comedy. Grade-4 had dance, singing, speech, magic show, experiment etc.
Grade-5 had dance, singing with keyboard, rap song, football tricks. Grade-6 had dance, singing. Grade-7 had singing, keyboard, storytelling, mono acting, Bhagavad Gita, stand-up comedy.
Grade- 8 had dance and singing. Dance develops physical, creative, imaginative, emotional and intellectual capacities. Singing makes one feel energized and uplifted. Oratory enhances the skill to express ideas with confidence. Mono acting improves acting skill. Kung Fu and Karate teach focus and discipline. Comedy is amusing and entertaining. All these activities boost self-esteem and confidence so vital for success in life.
Talent-Day was conducted successfully with children performing what they enjoyed the most. Their talents shone bright and the day was a memorable one.
