The Montessori celebrated Raksha Bandhan on August 30th,2023. The highlight of the celebration was the rakhi-tying ceremony, where
children were encouraged to tie rakhi to their friends. This symbolic gesture allowed them to express the love and care they share, mirroring the essence of Raksha Bandhan. In the true spirit of the festival, children exchanged chocolates as tokens of appreciation and
affection. This gesture further reinforced the idea of giving and receiving with a warm heart.

Several speeches were delivered to educate the children about the significance of Raksha Bandhan. The following students, representing different Montessori levels, delivered insightful speeches:

Veda (M3), Shrimay (M3), Kabir (M3), Aanavi (M2), Adhidev(M3), Aayushmaan (M2), Yathul Krithin (M3)

These speeches provided valuable context and background about the festival, enriching the children’s understanding of its cultural importance.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Takshvi (M2).  She expressed gratitude to all the participants,teachers, and staff who contributed to the success of the RakshaBandhan celebration. Her words of appreciation resonated with everyone present.
