Slogans put upon posters create environmental awareness. Poster making on Environment Day was an activity for BRS students on June 18, 2022. Students from Grade-IV to Grade-VIII were divided into groups of three for this activity. Poster making was conducted in the indoor stadium of the school premises.

The best advantage of poster making is that it facilitates team work and understanding along with facilitating creative thinking and extensive research and reading. It provides students with an opportunity to learn by doing, in turn strengthening the learning.

Environment awareness is vital to help minimise pollution and Global Warming. Posters are effective to create awareness by addressing environmental issues and depicting ways to solve them. Eye-catching posters draw attention.

Group activities reinforce skills that are relevant to both group and individual work. The students of BRS engaged in the activity with enthusiasm. Students made colourful posters using creative ideas. The posters depicted messages to protect the environment.

Students used their own materials to make the posters. They used chart papers, colour pencils, sketch pens and natural things like leaves, pulses, stones and mud to make beautiful posters.

Various slogans were put up on the charts. To mention a few:

• Let’s nurture the nature, so that we can have the better future.
• Do not think any action is small to take care of our environment, every tiny step counts.
• Save trees, save Earth
• To encourage students to do their best, there were first, second and third prizes for the best posters. The fun-filled day brought out the best in students. Above all it spread the message – Save the Environment!
