Playing and crafting with clay is every Kid’s favourite activity, so we at the BRS Global Montessori Wing conducted a Non-Scholastic Competition (NSC) named “Wonders with Clay” on July 28, 2023. Clay modelling is one of many ways to develop fine motor skills. Playing with clay has a calming effect on children and can promote creative expression.

Under the guidance and direction of the teachers and their parents, our little ones came up with their own ideas and stunning creations. The little hands worked smoothly and efficiently to fulfil their hearts desires and fantasies.

Each grade was assigned a topic:

Montessori 1: “Shapes” Children were tasked with creating shapes, namely, circles and squares, in their own creative way.

Montessori 2: The topic assigned to the students is “flowers”. They created beautiful flowers and presented them perfectly.

Montessori 3: The topic assigned to the students is “fruits and vegetables”. The children used their own creativity and effort to create clay models of “fruits and vegetables”.

After the competition, the judgement was done on the basis of neatness, presentation and description by the child. The winners and the participants will be rewarded with certificates.
