House Activity for Independence Day – 2024

On account of the 78th Independence Day celebration, a vibrant fancy dress competition was held at BRS Global School, ranked among the best CBSE schools in Sarjapur Road, on 9th August,2024. The students from Grade- I to IV had dressed up in colourful attires to embody the iconic freedom fighters who played pivotal roles in the struggle for India’s independence.

The primary objective of this event was not only to foster the confidence of our students in dramatizing roles and refining their public speaking skills but also exemplifying our country’s rich history of achieving independence from British colonial rule.

Occasion’s Highlights: Some of the commendable depictions presented by our youthful participants were; Mahatma Gandhi with a strolling adherence, preaching his message of peace and non-violence (Ahimsa). Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose with his military uniform fortifying his message of autonomy and revolution with his spirited salute. Rani Lakshmi Bai, exhibiting her courageous resistance against British governance.

Chennamma, the Indian queen of Kittur who led an armed resistance against British East India company in defiance of paramountcy. Some other notable freedom fighters and activists like Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Sarojini Naidu, Chatrapathi Shivaji and leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru and other pioneers were also enacted equally with grace and precision.

Hence today’s fancy dress competition at BRS Global School was a grand success as it has not only provided a platform for portraying these patriotic characters and their outfits but it also helped the students to a pay soulful tribute to these legendary leaders whose endless sacrifices and monumental efforts had led us to cherish our nation’s independence and sovereignty for the rest of our lives.
