World Environment Day is promoted by the United Nations in order to build awareness on emerging environmental issues like global warming, pollution, overpopulation etc. that is affecting the animal and human lives on earth. The sole aim being raising awareness of Environment Day is an opportunity for us to rethink the choices we have made and make choices to save the environment.

BRS Global School, ranked among the best CBSE schools in Sarjapur Road, celebrated this day with great responsibility and vigour. The program commenced with a special assembly on the re-opening day. The students recited the prayer bringing light and positivity into their minds followed by presenting the news headlines of the day. The thought of the day was really an eye opener. The students were introduced to new words in the assembly as it aims at building them as individuals who always acquire knowledge followed by the school pledge.

The most respected Principal Mrs. Manjula B V delivered the message addressing the gathering, invoking the importance of being responsible and compassionate citizens who stand by and for the environment.

The environment day celebration commenced with great enthusiasm and responsibility by the students of grade IX to XII. Melvin and Raunak of grade X officially welcomed the gathering to the celebration of the World Environment Day. Shravya of grade X presented the importance of the day which brought a realisation and understanding of the event among the young listeners. Kushi of grade XI invoked the environment day pledge which was repeated by the students who whole-heartedly accepted their responsibility and duty towards the mother earth.

The highlight of the event was planting the saplings by the students, Principal- Mrs. Manjula B V and the Management Ms. Mahima Shree Reddy. This symbolises the aim of our teachers and students to be responsible in their duties towards the environment. We the teachers and students of BRS Global school prefer action over speech and the first step was undertaken by gifting saplings to the management by the students of grade XII. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks by Ayushmi of grade X.
