Tech Summit or conferences are an integral part of the tech ecosystem. They offer a fantastic opportunity for aspiring as well as veterans of the technology industry to meet and network. The Bengaluru Tech Summit was organised by the Department of Electronics, Bio-Technology and Science and Technology under the Karnataka government in collaboration with the Software Technology of India.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the 25th edition of Bengaluru Tech Summit 2022 on 16th November 2022, at a glittering ceremony in the presence of a galaxy of leaders from the IT, BT and start-up sectors in Bengaluru Palace Ground. The control theme of BTS was “Tech4NexGen.” This event was Asia’s most prestigious and sought-after technology summit.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by the Guests of Honour H.E Mr. Petri Honkonen, Minister of Science & Culture, Finland, H.E. Mr. Omar Bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy & Remote Work Applications, United Arab Emirates, H.E. Mr. Tim Watts, Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs, Australia. The ceremony was presided over by Shri Basavaraj S. Bommai, Chief Minister of Karnataka.

The summit had participants from over 30+ countries, 350+ Domain Experts in 70+ sessions attended by 5000+ Delegates.

There was a grand showcase of over 400 start-ups and a Lab2 Market display of India’s premier R & D institutes. The BTS 2022 witnessed India’s largest international tech exhibition with the participation of over 575 organisations. The summit hosted India, USA, Tech Conclave 2.0, and the Global Innovation Alliance (GIA). There was a start-up pavilion with 330 exhibitors across diverse sectors. Special events included the IT Export Awards, Smart Awards, Rural IT Quiz and Bio Posters. The students of Grade – 6th, 7th and 8th of BRS Global School, Bidaraguppe have participated in the prestigious event with two projects.

<b>One project was -Lets Basket it</b>. In this project, the basket not has a sensor. When the ball falls into the net, the sensor senses it and displays the score on the scoreboard. There are two teams A and B in this game project. The score of which ever team throws the ball inside the net is displayed on the score board. Another project by BRS school was – Smart Street Light. It works automatically. The LDR- Light Dependent Register sensors measure the intensity. If the intensity is less than 200, the light goes on automatically. If it is more than 200, the light goes off automatically.

This project works on IPO – Input, Process and Output.

The students presented their projects to the visitors in an excellent manner. They answered all the queries by the visitors, submitted their documentations and received participation certificates.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi commented that India’s innovative youth has ensured tech and talent globalisation and said, “In India, technology is a force of equality and empowerment.”

The Prime Minister called Bengaluru the home of technology and thought leadership, and an innovative city. The Largest Technology Event was held in Bengaluru. Over the decades, Bengaluru has grown in importance to playing an increasingly participatory role in keeping the world moving, and is today a recognised epicentre of operations of several leading Global MNCs. Let us hope that all technological innovation leads to a better society and a better life for mankind.
