Adding robotics to the school curriculum makes the young minds more ready for the next generation technology. It inculcates teamwork incorporating a range of skills and subsequently promoting learning environment for students encompassing different talents. Robotics acts as the launching pad for students to explore different learning pathways by developing their personal strength which would be essential throughout their lives.
Value based education creates a strong learning environment that enhances academic attainment and develops students’ social and relationship skills that last throughout their lives. In BRS it has been integrated in the school curriculum to develop the children into people with strong character and values who know how to utilize their knowledge for the advantage of mankind. Value based education aims at training the student to face the outer world with the right attitude and values.
BRS has trained counsellors and special educators who provide counseling for emotional, behavioral and learning problems. The turbulent teens and situational mood swings are dealt with love, concern and most of all quiet understanding. We also attempt at providing career guidance for the students. The school conducts orientation, workshops and counselling programs for teachers, parents, and children.
Our goal by introducing abacus is to build strong skills, confidence, and creating a love for Math. In BRS, kids take an interest in math. We teach our students to perform math function on the abacus by manipulating beads. Place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are at their fingertips. We also work with our students to improve, focus and concentration skills to visualise the abacus to perform math calculations mentally. The classes are designed to be fun and interactive for all the students.
Today, general knowledge plays an essential role in defining one’s growth and success. One needs to go beyond academics to excel in other areas. GK quizzes are conducted in school in an enjoyable way. World politics, sports, celebrities, monuments, personalities, interesting science facts are a few of the many general knowledge topics that is being introduced to children to build a solid foundation. A strong command of language combined with learning about various subjects and current affairs will enable the students to eliminate public speaking fears.
Our school has well equipped science labs (physics, chemistry and biology), computer lab, mathematics lab, and a full-fledged library for the students. BRS provides aesthetically designed classrooms integrated with smart boards, GPS enabled transport, turf ground and an athletic track too. BRS also has a special educator and counsellor to help exceptional children for self-sufficiency.
To identify the talented students who have a special aptitude for Science, Mathematics, Social Science, National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), a national-level scholarship programme at the secondary school level is introduced to validate students with intellect and academic talent.
Integrated learning is a pedagogical tool to promote arts and skills of arts to teach other subjects. It has been facilitated and incorporated in our curriculum for experiential and joyful learning in classroom situation as well as building a joyful learning environment in the school.
